This recipe is a combination of other recipes.
- For the pizza crust, use the bread recipe.
- For the pizza sauce, use the garlic cream sauce recipe.
- For the pizza toppings, use beefken.
- For the cheese, use the best organic cheese you can get your hands on. Costco’s colby jack is the best I’ve been able to find, but their cheese offerings vary from place to place. (Note: The cheese should go on top of any meat you add so that it blends with the garlic sauce.)
- Add oregano and fennel seed on top of the pizza.
When it comes to baking, whatever you do, keep an eye on the pizza while its in the oven the first time or two you make it, until you know that your oven is going to behave. The below temperatures and times are rough estimations that have worked for me in the past but I haven’t quite taken the time to get it down to a science yet.
- For a large pizza (approximately 1/2 the dough of the bread recipe), bake on center rack at 450 degrees for 15+ min or 400 degrees for 23+ min, perhaps using the lower temperature if your dough is thicker.
- For a medium pizza (approximately 1/4 the dough of the bread recipe), bake at 450 degrees for 12+ min or 400 degrees for 18+ min.
Enjoy!
