Easy recipe, super tasty.
Ingredients
- 1 cup einkorn grain (ground into flour)
- 1 1/2 cup of either milk, buttermilk, or cream, or a combination of such
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 4 tsp oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- a little butter
- maple syrup
Steps
- Get a quart jar or some other thing with up to 4 cups of measurement on it, something you can pour out of.
- Measure your 1 cup of grain into that thing, and then grind that to flour.
- While the grain is grinding, pour your milk into that container, measuring the 1 and 1/2 cups.
- Add the flour, then eggs, then honey, baking powder, oil, and salt, to the milk.
- Mix everything together really well. Done making pancake batter.
- Get a griddle of some sort, put that on the stove at medium heat, and put some butter on it to get it non-sticky for the pancakes.
- When it seems to be pretty heated, pour a little bit of the pancake batter on there and flip it when you see a substantial amount of bubbles. Be sure to use a big spatula, and focus on flipping the pancakes in one swift but gentle motion. Start with little pancakes and work your way up to the size you want.
- Enjoy with a little butter and maple syrup.
